Colorado Governor Proclaims National Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Day!

Justin Lewis

Once again, Colorado Governor John W. Hickenlooper declared October 8 “Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day” for the state.

According to the Governor’s proclamation, “Colorado is now ready and open for the construction of hydrogen fueling stations and introduction of fuel cell vehicles.”

Colorado is also home to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), whose hydrogen and fuel cell research and development (R&D) focuses on developing, integrating, and demonstrating hydrogen production and delivery, hydrogen storage, and fuel cell technologies for transportation, stationary, and portable applications.

The full proclamation is below. For more information on retail hydrogen fueling regulations and standards in Colorado, visit the state’s Department of Labor and Employment, Division of Oil and Public Safety.
