New Jersey State Assembly Holds Hearing on Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technologies

On October 11, the New Jersey State Assembly Science, Innovation and Technology Committee and the Assembly Commerce and Economic Development Committee held a hearing on the use of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in motor vehicles, material handling equipment, and stationary power applications.

The hearing was held at the request of Science, Innovation and Technology Committee Chairman Andrew Zwicker, and Commerce and Economic Development Committee Chairman Gordon M. Johnson as part of celebrations for National Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Day.

FCHEA attended the hearing, and representatives from several FCHEA member companies presented in several panels, including:

  • Air Liquide

  • FuelCell Energy

  • Honda

  • Nel Hydrogen

  • Plug Power

  • Toyota

In addition to the hearing, Honda and Toyota brought their Clarity and Mirai fuel cell vehicles to Trenton for a Ride and Drive event with state lawmakers.
