Demonstrative hydrogen fueling station in Washington, D.C. with the Toyota Mirai
Commemorating National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day, representatives from the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association (FCHEA) and Toyota Motor Company drove a Toyota Mirai FCV on a Capital-Capital-Capital tour from the nation's capital in Washington, D.C., to the capitals of Richmond, Virginia, and Annapolis, Maryland.
This drive, conducted on Tuesday, October 4th, demonstrated the long-range, zero-emission driving capabilities of the Toyota Mirai, from the nation's capital, Washington, D.C, to the the capitals of Virginia, in Richmond, and the capital of Maryland, in Annapolis.
This long-distance trip was able to be taken in one day thanks to the availability of a demonstration hydrogen fueling station in Washington, D.C.
In total, the Toyota Mirai drove 282 miles and averaged nearly 72 miles per gallon of gasoline equivalent (MPGe) in driving.
