Congressional staff hear progress and lessons learned from University of Delaware's fuel cell bus program

On February 24, FCHEA sponsored a day-long tour for Congressional energy staffers visiting several fuel cell and hydrogen facilities in Elkton, Maryland, and Newark, Delaware.

Sites visited included W.L. Gore's fuel cell lab, where a tour of their fuel cell testing and assembly lines was provided, as well as University of Delaware's fuel cell bus facility, where the group was able to ride one of their fuel cell powered buses.  Other sites included Air Liquide's hydrogen laboratory and filling station, and Bloom Energy's east coast manufacturing facility, which produces over 100 MW a year in Bloom fuel cell servers.
