United States Senate Recognizes National Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Day!

Connor Dolan

FCHEA is excited to announce that on September 24, the United States Senate passed Senate Resolution 720, declaring October 8, 2020, National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day for the United States. This is the sixth year in a row the Senate has officially proclaimed the special day.

FCHEA and our members are extremely grateful for the bipartisan leadership of this resolution provided by Senators Lindsay Graham (R-SC) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT). We also want to thank the other Senate co-sponsors for this resolution, including Rob Portman (R-OH), Christopher Coons (D-DE), and Christopher Murphy (D-CT).

More information on the resolution can be found here.

As a reminder, the date of October 8 (10/08) was chosen in recognition of the atomic weight of hydrogen (1.008). This day provides a platform to raise broader awareness of fuel cell and hydrogen energy technologies. As in the past, this activity has provided FCHEA and its members a strong platform for establishing a nation-wide campaign to raise broader awareness of fuel cell and hydrogen energy technologies.
