United States Senate Recognizes National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day
Connor Dolan
FCHEA is excited to announce that Senate Resolution 765, declaring October 8, 2022, National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day for the United States, has been passed by the Senate on September 28. This is the eighth consecutive year that the Senate has officially designated the day!
FCHEA and our members are extremely grateful for the bipartisan leadership of this resolution provided by Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Lindsay Graham (R-SC). We also want to thank the other Senate co-sponsors for this resolution, including Rob Portman (R-OH), Christopher Coons (D-DE), and Christopher Murphy (D-CT).
The full text of resolution can be found below and more information on the resolution can be found here.
As a reminder, the date of October 8 (10/08) was chosen in recognition of the atomic weight of hydrogen (1.008). This day provides a platform to raise broader awareness of fuel cell and hydrogen energy technologies. As in the past, this activity has provided FCHEA and its members a strong platform for establishing a nation-wide campaign to raise broader awareness of fuel cell and hydrogen energy technologies.
